Welcome

Welcome to our class blog site!

This site shall serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and insights related to memory, history, and identity.

Questions we'll be asking ourselves this term: How does memory affect our understanding of history and of personal identity? What gets remembered? Who gets remembered? How are events remembered, and what is the effect on the memory itself? How is memory connected to Truth and History? And, finally, how does collective, cultural, and personal memory shift over time?

This site also allows you to mix media--to experiment with images, video clips, interviews, visual texts, etc.--so hopefully we'll begin to think about writing, and the connection of writing to other creative outlets, in a new way.

And hopefully, too, we'll have fun and learn a thing or two in the process.

But first: Let's get to work.

Memory effects people in a lot of ways, I’m ready to learn how memory affects me and my personal life. What are some things I can do to improve my memory?
